Introdution:

In this new task that we are about to create is a PR Commercial Video. A PR is the practice of managing the spread of information between an individual or an organization such as a business, government agency, or a nonprofit organization and the public. This video will include some things that are in school. For example we could go to the school gym or field or library or we could do the IB programs. My project is about making a commercial video. The commercial video will take place in the school I go to. In this PR commercial I will be using the Design Cycle. I will be using the four stages from the design cycle. These are the four Design Cycle stages; Investigate, design, create and evaluate. In the first stage for the design cycle is investigate, what I am basically doing in this investigation stage is I will be carrying out research or study into a subject Commercial Video so as I discover facts or information it will make my life easier as a student to be doing research and it will help me understand. In the second stage for the design cycle, the stage that I will be doing is the Process design. Basically what the Process design in contrast to design process mentioned above refers to the planning of routine steps of a process aside from the expected result. Processes in general are treated as a product of design, not the method of design. The term originated with the industrial designing of chemical processes. With the increasing complexities of the information age, consultants and executives have found the term useful to describe the design processes as well as manufacturing processes.

IDENTIFY THE PROBLEM: The challenge is to feature Cebu International School in a commercial video. Based on this challenge, students must use the design cycle to create their product.  Our task is to create a Commercial Video about our school. It can be any topic that is involving school work like the library or even the gym or even the field.

DESIGN BRIEF:  In order to complete the task, I will research useful information that can help create my video. I will also make a plan to follow while creating the video. In creating the video, I will make sure that I follow the design specifications to make the video successful. The commercial video must be appropriate for different audiences and must convey a good message of the school. My PR Commercial Video will be given on the day of the due date!

Design Specification: (minimum of 4 maximum of 7 do’s and don’ts)

 The project should carry a good message.

 The project will be visible and should be done at school (assigned area).

 The design should be appropriate in a school set-up.

 Appropriate materials and tools are used for the project (computer, laptop, phone)

 Students will work on allotted time (DT class time) and complete on the set deadline.

My Conclusion:

This should be a short outline of the type of ‘product test’ you think will help you evaluate your PR commercial at the end!!

What I did in this project was that I was able to research all about commercial video and how to make a script that is easy and that is able to be understood by the audience that I will be preforming in front of. This is just a layout on what I will be doing on my next summative which is making a a commercial video. This is part of the design cycle which is the evaluating stage. I was able to get all my research done and no the next design stage is to design and plan than I will be able to go to the next stage which is create the work.
